The beginnings of the company are linked to its founder, Enzo Ferrari, born in Modena on the 18th of February 1898: a life marked by a passion for motors and speed.


After the First World War, whilst a pilot for Alfa Romeo, he met the parents of Francesco Baracca, the famous Italian flying ace, who allowed him to use the Prancing Horse as a good luck symbol.

Ferrari placed it upon a yellow background, the colour of the city of Modena, thereby creating the identity with which Ferrari would become famous.

In 1929 he founded the Scuderia Ferrari, utilizing Alfa Romeo cars. From 1933 onwards, the Company of Milan was substituted by Scuderia

In 1943 they moved to Maranello. It is here that in 1947 the first Ferrari car was born, the 125 sport, which after entering the world of racing for less than two weeks, won the Gran Premio in Rome. Ferrari: the renewal of a legend The history, the legend of the company founder, the impressive record of victories, the character of its outstanding personalities: Ferrari is a unique example of a legendary name that immediately evokes a sense of excitement, and not only for racing enthusiasts, all over the world.

If Ferrari's history is tied to its founder, the company is characterized today and towards its future by Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, who joined Ferrari for the first time in 1974 as Sporting Director and returned in 1991 as President and CEO. Under his guidance, Ferrari has witnessed huge production and industrial development, as demonstrated by constant increases in turnover and sales.

Today its market is international: Ferrari commercializes in 45 countries and exports approximately 90% of its cars.

In 1997 Ferrari acquired 100% of Maserati.The completion of the project, in 2006, will see the Ferrari-Maserati Group the most advanced manufacturer of cars in the world, in terms of quality at work place, technological innovation and respect for its environment.

Black

Simple and basic, it emerges in all its symbolic strength expressed by a black matt paint, which gives the box elegance and softness to the touch, like velvet. In the centre the unmistakable Ferrari shield stands out, bordered with the three colours of the Italian flag. The fragrance seal closes the box, its name, Ferrari Black, hot-pressed in satiny silver. Colour becomes the predominant element.

The basic severe and smooth, for the Ferrari fragrance bottle, now acquires an irresistible strength and power. Entirely hot sprayed with matt Black paint, with a satin finish, the bottle has the same velvety softness as the box, a real pleasure to the touch as well as to the eyes.

Red

the colour which made in Ferrari famous all over the world

For Ferrari is a myth, an Italian myth in the world. An essential design, precise and neat: the way Pierre Dinand has imagined and wanted the bottle of the new Ferrari fragrance.

The squared geometrical lines of the sides mix with the milder ones of the two faces (front and back) gently bended towards the outside. The bright aluminium cap, conceived to match with the bottle, reveals a close link with the speed-cars world.

The front of the transparent glass bottle "wears" the unique sign of the Ferrari world: the yellow small shield with the legendary cavallino in black.
