To celebrate its 40 years Iceberg renovates itself by appointing young Austrian designer Arthur Arbesser, winner of “Who is On Next? 2013” , as new creative director. After collaborating with top designers such as Marc Jacobs and Jean-Charles de Catselbajac, as well as with important fashion photographers, helping to write an important chapter in the history of contemporary style, Iceberg is ready to mark a new era in the Italian fashion landscape. The debut of the young designer on the catwalks of the Milan Fashion Week with the collection spring/summer 2016 has been very promising: full of color, for a completely original collection. The inspiration comes from the works by Italian artist Enrico Baj: bands on the clothes of the models resemble those of his generals, a leitmotif of his paintings. A very graphic collection, colorful and contemporary , making extensive use of geometric patterns, especially stripes, and dark denim contrasting with the softness of other fabrics such as silk and satin.
Arbesser starts from the most authentic Iceberg DNA, i.e. knitwear, the main element of the new women’s collection, to revisit it, giving it a fresh touch thanks to the creations in ribbed knit or jacquard, smooth and long on the body, which speak of the desire of the designer to
break the rules while at the same time staying faithful to the tradition. An easy wardrobe,
cosmopolitan, irreverent, sensual and definitely contemporary.
